From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others. After exploring various careers, I finally found my calling when I became a certified Mental Health Professional in 2017, and I haven’t looked back since.

Over the years, I have gathered a diversified background of experience working with adolescents and adults with a range of psychological vulnerabilities. I provide a comprehensive set of services to help boost your confidence and offer support as you navigate your personal health and wellness challenges. I work with clients closely in order to achieve measurable results that allow them to push forward with a new, positive mindset.

I started Feelings Forward as an Instagram Handle during the Covid-19 Pandemic. I believe that growing and evolving to lead fuller, wholesome lives is key to one’s holistic health and well-being. I strive to support my clients to explore the depths of their inner world in an empathetic, caring, safe and holding space.
My aim is to disseminate information, raise awareness, de-stigmatise and advocate for mental health needs.

FAQ

Many people have the same questions about therapy. Will therapy work for me?  Have a look at the most frequently asked questions below, and submit your own if you can’t find what you’re looking for.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can book a session via the following platforms : e-mail, phone number, instagram/facebook.
The standard time for each session is 50-60 minutes.
Payment should be made prior to the session

If I'm Running Late, Can my session be extended?

There may be times when you arrive late for your session due to situational factors. However, the extension of the session under such circumstances wouldn't be possible and the duration of the session will be confined to your appointment time. In the circumstance that you would want to extend your session, you would need to pay for the extra minutes which would be the breakdown of the hourly cost.

Is all my information kept confidential?

All information/details discussed in session will be kept confidential, apart from when the psychologist assesses that you're at risk of harm to yourself or others, they may need to contact the emergency contact listed by you or the local emergency services.

How Many Sessions do I need to take to get better?

Therapy is a collaborative process where you and your therapist set certain goals keeping in mind your best interest. Even though your therapist would have a treatment plan in mind, it is difficult for a therapist to tell you the number of sessions/ duration of treatment. That would depend on the pace at which you and your therapist decide to work at.

What is the procedure for cancellation?

We value our psychologists’ and your time equally. There could be very valid reasons for your cancellation, however, the psychologist specifically blocks a slot for you that could have been utilised by another client in need. Therefore, if the cancellation is not done 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment, full session charges are levied.

While we understand that there might be certain medical emergencies due to which you wouldn't be able to make it to your session, as company policy the cancellation charges are levied on any foreseen or unforeseen circumstances.

What is the role of a clinical/counselling psychologist and the role of a psychiatrist?

A Clinical Psychologist in India is someone with an MPhil qualification and is equipped to do psycho-diagnostic testing as well as psychotherapy. A Counselling Psychologist is someone with a Master's degree and is equipped to undertake the process of counselling. A Psychiatrist is a medical doctor equipped to prescribe medication for mental disorders.
